Medical, Dental, Vision Benefits and More!

Tovala provides all of the standard benefits such as Medical, Dental and Vision benefits and more, as well as company-paid Short Term Disability and Basic Life Insurance. All selected benefits will go into effect the 1st of the month after your start date. We'll reach out in the next week to talk through plans with you!

Please note you will receive an insurance medical card in the mail 2-3 weeks after sign-up. You will NOT receive a physical card for dental and vision.

Tovala Oven & Tovala Meals

After 3 months of service and if in good standing, all employees receive a free Tovala oven and 4 free meals to start out! Team members also receive a 50% discount on all Tovala meals and can pick them up directly at the facility. We can’t wait for you to find your favorite Tovala meal!

We want all employees to think like an owner. All new hires are offered an equity grant upon hire.

401(k)

Tovala has a 401(k) plan through Empower. All employees are eligible to contribute after being with the company for 3 months. Tovala will match 100% of the first 1% & 50% of the next 5%. To max out Tovala's match, you would want to contribute 6% for a 3.5% match.

One important call out is that our 401(k) plan has an auto-enrollment feature to help you save for retirement.
With this feature, if you take no action, you will be automatically enrolled at a 3% deferral rate. You may
opt out of this by going to the Empower website and updating your deferral rate to 0%.

You will receive an e-mail in your second month with more details on the 401(k).

No Work Birthdays

All Tovalans will get one paid day off for their birthday each year! This Birthday PTO can be used on the team members actual birthday or up to two weeks before or after the day. Team members must request their Birthday PTO following the requesting time off guidelines below.

Step Pay

Employee Referral Program

We love referrals! If you know someone who would be a good fit at Tovala - please let the HR team know. If you refer someone and they are hired, you will receive a $100 bonus after the referral works 7 days, a $100 bonus after the referral works 30 days, a $100 bonus after the referral works 60 days, and a $300 bonus after the referral works for 180 days. To qualify, both you and the referral must be in good standing (meaning no corrective actions in the last 90 days). Also, in order to qualify you must let the HR team know about your referral before the person’s first day.

Employee of the Month

Each month our managers choose a few Employee's of the Month for our team members that have gone above and beyond in their role. These team members receive a Visa Gift Card to show our appreciation!

Employee Assistance Program

EAP service offers caring and professional assistance for a broad range of concerns including stress management,
depression and anxiety, relationship or family conflicts, workplace conflicts, legal or financial difficulties, and drug or
alcohol abuse. Services are confidential - neither your employer nor co-workers have knowledge of your request for
help. EAP services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for you and your eligible dependents. There
is no cost, it’s just there for you when you need it.
